Illyria is roughly the equivalent of the Balkans in the Kushielverse. It is described as stretching the coastline between Hellas and Skaldia. The capital is Epidauro, located on an almost island. The ruler of Illyria is called the Ban.
Notable Illyrian Characters
Kazan Atrabiades--a cursed pirate. Rescued Phedre from the waters after her escape from la Dolorosa in Kushiel's Chosen. Later tried to ransom her. Goes through the thetalos with Phedre.
